Tradition

The beginnings of the company Plastik d.d. Kanal date back to 1959, when a company called ŽICA for production of metal products was established.












In 1966 the company was renamed ITEK - Industrija transportne embalaže Kanal with introduction of new strategic approaches. The name itself (“Industry of transport packaging Kanal”) gives an idea that the company focused on production of wire packaging.

In February 1967, when in the former Republic of  Yugoslavia the first plastic basket for beer was made, production of injected plastic packaging started.
